LEGAL TERMS FOR THE PROMOTION “WIN A DREAM WEDDING”

1. Who is running the promotion?

The Organizer is WeddingWire India, with principal office and correspondence address at Tower A, 5th Floor, Global Gateway Towers, Mehrauli-Gurgaon Rd, Sikanderpur, Sector 26, Gurugram, Haryana 122002 and organizes for promotional purposes a nationwide promotional activity (hereinafter, "the Promotion"), to be carried out through the Internet.

2.Who can take part in the Promotion? 

All engaged couples residing in India or are Indian citizens choosing to get married in India, age above 18 years & are planning to have a wedding between 1st April 2024 and 31st December 2024 are eligible to be a part of the Promotion. 

Participants must go to the below websites and complete the instructions found there for the Promotion (“Entry”).

Existing Users - https://landing.weddingwire.in/dreamwed-2024-existing/  

Users that contact at least one (1) WeddingWire India Vendor to make a new enquiry during the Promotion period will receive an additional entry. 

In order to be eligible for an additional entry, Users must only contact their Vendors through WeddingWire India (any communication outside WeddingWire India Website or app will not be counted for). 

There is a maximum of two (2) entries per User and bulk entries made by third parties will not be permitted.

The Organizer’s employees, executives or partners, as well as their respective families, or anyone connected directly or indirectly related to the Organizer or the promotion may not participate in the Promotion.

Participants in the competition must be able to justify that they will be getting married as of April 1st 2024 until 31 December  2024.

Those who fulfill the mentioned eligibility requirements, and who follow the established mechanics in the following point 4, will be referred to as “Participant/s”, accordingly.

This Promotion is free to enter, therefore, Participants will not be charged for entering.

If it is found that any of the Participants do not comply with the requirements demanded in this Legal Terms, or that the data provided to participate are inaccurate, their participation will be considered null and void and they will be automatically excluded from the Promotion and will lose all rights to the Prize awarded by virtue of this Promotion. By entering the Promotion, Participants explicitly accept the current Legal Terms in full.

3.What dates will the Promotion run between?

The starting date for entries is 9:00 a.m. 4th January 2024 IST (the "Start Date") and the closing date for entries is 11:59 p.m. 29th February 2024 IST (the "Closing Date"). The winner will be announced towards the end of March 2024.

The Organizer will not change the Closing Date unless forced to do so by unavoidable circumstances outside their control (for example, changes in applicable law or governmental guidance that means the Promotion is prohibited, or supply issues in respect of the Prize caused by circumstances outside of the Organizer's control, such as unforeseeable labour shortages or transport delays).  In that case, the Promotion will be cancelled and to the extent possible reopened at a later date. All those Participants who sought to participate within the original terms will be given the opportunity to re-enter the Promotion. 

4.How is the Winner selected?

The mechanics of the Promotion consist of registering on the Promotion landing page during the Promotion period. The Promotion will be carried out by means of a random computer draw through which 1 winner and 5 alternates (in determined order: 1st (winner), 2nd (alternate 1), 3rd (alternate 2),...) will be selected within 10 business days following the end of the Promotion. 

Winner selection date will be 4th March 2024 and Announcement date will be towards the end of March 2024. The Organizer’s decision as to the winner is final and no correspondence relating to the selection of the winner will be entered into. The winner will be notified by email or telephone. 

The Winner must respond by email to accept the award of the prize. If the winner fails to respond within 5 days of such notification being sent, or if the Winner is disqualified, their participation will be considered null and void and they will be automatically excluded from the Promotion and will lose all rights to the prizes awarded under this Promotion. 

ENTRIES AND/OR THE WINNER MAY BE DISQUALIFIED IF THE PROMOTER DETERMINES, IN ITS REASONABLE DISCRETION, THAT THE ENTRY CONTAINS, AMONG OTHER THINGS, FALSE INFORMATION, INAPPROPRIATE LANGUAGE OR REMARKS, OFFENSIVE OR DISCRIMINATORY CONTENT, OR ANY CONTENT THAT VIOLATES OR INFRINGES ANY THIRD PARTY’S RIGHTS.

5.What is the Prize?

The Prize consists of the reimbursement of the services provided by professionals registered on the WeddingWire India Website ("Vendors") who have been hired by the winning Participant for the celebration of their wedding.The Winner shall receive up to ₹15,00,000 in the form of Vendor invoice payments or reimbursements to Winner from Organizer for services towards Winner’s wedding taking place between 1st April, 2024 and 31st December 2024 to be used to book up to 10 Vendors within the following categories on the WeddingWire India platform like Venues, Wedding Photographers, Wedding Videography, Wedding Music, Caterers, Wedding Transportation, Wedding Invitations, Wedding Gifts, Florists, Wedding Planners, Wedding Choreographers, Wedding DJ, Wedding Cakes, Wedding Decorators, Party Places, Wedding Entertainment, Mehndi Artists, Bridal Makeup Artists, Makeup Salon, Bridal Lehenga, Trousseau Packing. The total value of this Prize will not exceed ₹15,00,000. Vendors within the following categories on The WeddingWire India marketplace will not be eligible for Prize: Honeymoon and Bridal Jewellery. 

The Winner shall send the Organizer up to 10 invoices for Vendor services for a wedding taking place between 1st April, 2024 and 31st December 2024 that are intended to be covered by the prize.

All invoices must be for Vendors listed on The WeddingWire India marketplace within an eligible category. All Invoices must be submitted before 31st December 2024. 

If Winner has already made payment to a Vendor for services happening for a wedding taking place between 1st April, 2024 and 31st December 2024, Organizer will reimburse Winner to their nominated bank account. 

The Organizer accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever in respect of any loss or damage suffered by (i) any Vendor that provides products or services to the winner or (ii) the winner in respect of any acts or omissions of any Vendorengaged by the winner or any inability by the winner to benefit from the prize for any reason. The prize should not be deemed to be a cash payment but a reimbursement of an expense arising from a service already contracted by the Winner, and must not be, in any case, transferable, changed or altered. The winner shall be responsible for any late payment obligations in respect of the selected Vendors, tax implications that arise as a result of accepting the prize and any other costs and charges in respect of accepting the prize. The prize does not create any form of agency or other commercial arrangement between the winner and the Organizer.

6.  Acceptance and consent

By entering this Promotion, Participant: 

(1) agrees to be bound by these Official Rules; 

(2) consents to the use of his/her name, voice, picture, and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium throughout the world in perpetuity without additional compensation unless prohibited by law and otherwise pursuant to Organizer’s Privacy Policy [https://www.weddingwire.in/legal-terms.php], 

(3) agrees that Organizer may send Participant information, promotions, or special offers that Organizer determines may be of interest to Participant but from which Participant may opt out of receiving the same in 72 hours, and,

(4) The Organizer will process Participants´ personal information (name and contact details) in accordance with (i) all applicable law relating to the processing of personal data and data privacy, and (ii) WeddingWire India´s Privacy Policy, available at https://www.weddingwire.in/legal-terms.php. 

The Winner has to consent to transfer the Organizer the property rights of the images and videos of their wedding day and to participate in video interviews to be used in the Organizer's publicity materials worldwide. Any Participant who does not intend to provide such consent (in the event that they win the Promotion) may wish to not enter the Promotion.

7.  Miscellanea 

The Organizer reserves the right to amend the terms of the Promotion where such amendments are minor changes or are required by applicable law. In addition, the Organizer may cancel the Promotion at any stage, if in its opinion (acting reasonably) there is a risk of fraud, security breach, fairness or proper conduct of the Promotion, or if circumstances arise outside of its control. The Organizer will provide entrants with reasonable notice of any changes prior to them being made.

The Organizer does not accept any responsibility for lost, delayed or fraudulent entries. 

THE ORGANIZER EXCLUDES LIABILITY FOR ANY UNFORESEEABLE LOSS, DAMAGE OR INJURY OCCURRING TO THE PARTICIPANT ARISING FROM HIS OR HER ENTRY INTO THE PROMOTION OR OCCURRING TO A WINNER ARISING FROM HIS OR HER ACCEPTANCE OF A PRIZE. LOSS OR DAMAGE IS FORESEEABLE IF EITHER IT IS OBVIOUS THAT IT WILL HAPPEN OR IF, AT THE TIME THE ENTRANT SUBMITS HIS OR HER ENTRY, THE ORGANIZER WAS AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF ITS OCCURRENCE.

The promotion is subject to the laws of India, and any dispute arising from the interpretation of this agreement shall be submitted to the Courts and Tribunals of the city of Haryana.
